Day 50

it is only day 3 for the strike of haunt and outside wardrobe has looked the same every day...it's like a nonstop mask wash-a-thon...it's crazy!!!

Day 49

so i like experimenting when i cook...it's quite fun! and i love making asian foods...yea...i know i'm asian...but nick also loves eating it so i like to make it...this one was just a random stir fry i made...nothing just adding things together...it's quite fun! oh...and it's with a side of mango juice :D

Day 48

my favorite part of the season...all of the termination paperwork...it is such a joy to have to do all of haunt's and make sure that everyone's paperwork was all there and ready to turn in...on top of that...making sure that copies were made for our records as well...it was a good fun time...gemma was helping me most of the night...but then she had to leave and it sucks trying to do the 400 employees by your self...AHHH!!! oh well...it's what i love doing though!

Day 47

it was the last day of operation today...and man was it a fun day! i had to get a picture with my ta crew that went to the pot luck of course because i started doing that last year so i wanna keep doing it...i have the best team at the park and i don't care who i have to argue with about it... :)

Day 46

since it's halloween weekend...we had a lot of people for haunt!!! it also made for almost full houses!!! crazy but i love it! i had to make sure i was every show for fangs...just in case anything crazy happened! so fun!

Day 45

since we did a day trip...we got back at 7:30am this morning...it's rare for me to even be up at that time...but since i still had to drive home...this is what it looked like...it is very pretty!!! i love it!!! but it's too bad i'm not a morning person!

Day 44

so we did a wonderful day trip down to knott's for their haunt event...it was a lot of fun because this time i didn't travel by myself...i had christine, bill, and sean withe me...so i had people to talk to and keep me company! since we got there so early...we went into the park as guests to ride the rides...they have some great ones there! and there was a big group of us later to check out haunt...it was fun and crazy! jealous that the have the money to do a lot of amazing things...their wardrobe is ginormous!!! it's awesome!!! i kinda wish i was working down there!

Day 43

my nephew is always sticking out his tongue...it's super cute so i just wanted to take a picture of it...i know i'll take a picture of him every time i see him! he is tooooooooo cute!!!

Day 42

one of the hardest things to do it eat healthy when you're barely home...or when you are home you don't really want to cook...so i finally made a nice healthy chicken meal! super simple and super yummy and that's all that matters!

Day 41

so for cinequest 2011...i'm going to be working as a cinquest connector...pretty much i have to learn as much as i possibly can about cinequest and introduce people to other people with the same interests in movies and such...i'm looking forward to it...so we had one of the first trainings tonight...it wa fun meeting the other 4 people who i'll be working for...although they are working on trying to get 60 people together...but who knows...so they gave us homework and told us to study the history of cinequest and such...so yea for homework!!!

Day 40

so because the radiers won...one of the talent from toy factory decided to dress up in a chicken costume...which ended up making an appearance in toy factory that night...it was funny and random and it was really funny to watch her fill out her break sheet! hahahaha! oh good times!!!

Day 39

so every day of operation for haunt...we do a dress up day...today's was cartoon character day so i decided to go a aja from the classic 80's cartoon jem and holograms! it was fun doing my make-up in a very small amount of time...i wish i had more time so i could have made it bigger and prettier...but oh well...it was still fun doing it!!!

Day 38

so...yvonne randomly posted that she needed some voices to record a psa for her class project...the funny thing was that it was about energy drinks and how bad they are for a person after she just started drinking them this summer...so anyways...i was nice enough to volunteer to do it...it was fun and weird since i have never really recorded anything before...but it was fun it's also great helping out a friend :)

Day 37

i went to pirates of emersons with stanley, kira, anthony, jaime, and two other guys i just met that night...it was fun adventure...but our haunt event is MUCH better...and actually scary...even thought i don't get scared...they just didn't have very many people working there when we went...oh well...still fun to hang out with friends!

Day 36

my nephew is the cutest! we hung out for quite some time today...he started crying because he got hungry...but he is getting big and strong! my how times go by fast!

the sharks are not starting off great this season...that is all i have to say...

canada makes a toy from anything...tonight...she happened to find one of pens ans stated playing with it...she actually makes it stand upright too...super cute! i love my cat!

it was actually crazy wig/hat day for the wardrobe/make-up team...but the wardrobe team really wanted to do lady gaga...so they did! they are fabulous! dress up days are always fun!

Day 31

it was nick hawley day at work today...so one of the guys from pirates got him this crate so he could be eye level with him...it was quite funny! matt fong just really wanted to be in the picture as well

Day 30

so today i went and saw sjsu's production of the seagull...the first thing about the set i noticed were my trees that i had made for the crucible! it was crazy to see that they were FINALLY used for something since then! it was crazy...i was very impressed by the show...some actors more than others though...but still great :) it was also crazy knowing everyone in a cast since i'm not at sjsu anymore!

Day 29

so i went on an adventure with my new friend james today...we decided to go to the beach...i decided panther since it was a beautiful one! i took tons of pictures! i just wish it wasn't so foggy! while there we saw 3 naked men...2 of them were pretty old...and the waves were huge...it made me wish that i knew ow to surf! it would have been fun! then we went to downtown santa cruz and got some tacos...and before leaving...we went and go some ice cream from mariannes :) then before he dropped me off at home, we went to powells in downtown los gatos to get me my strawberry charleston chews!!! my favorite! and then we checked out the los gatos camera cinemas since i used to work there and i wanted to see what it looked like now with it's remodel...it was pretty cool realizing that i helped pick out the carpet :)

Day 28

so...a new target opened up near great america...and you know me...i LOVE LOVE LOVE target! so gemma and i decided to explore it after work...which was great...i seriously love target...no joke...if they had a bugger variety in groceries....i would shop there and only there...but as i was looking for caned pineapples...the other side happened to be of the asian goodies...gemma was like "oh my god you're standing under the asian sign" so...i had her take a picture of it...because it was entertainment for us!

Day 27

so...being that it was monday...there was a lot of paperwork to catch up on...well putting the break sheets together for the following week...so after we loaded stuff in the van gemma decided to start putting it all together in there...since i had to drive back and forth a lot...it was quite entertaining because wherever we would stop...i would open up all the doors for her since it got really hot...on my way out of admin back the van...this was just a funny site :)

Day 26

so every sunday is a crazy hell mess of making sure all breaksheets are good to go...it's not fun at all...AT ALL!!! i hate sundays and monday mornings because of it...oh well...but check out the difference between entertainment and haunt...my goodness...

Day 25

we used to have this even in october caled nick or treat...we don't have the nick characters any more so it is now snoopy's costume party at planet snoopy..so it officially opened today! it wasn't as crazy as an opening as we thought it should be on top of having to do a cheer and drill event.

Day 24

pat changed his location tonight of where he was announcing maze and scare zones of the night...but the important announcement was that the vp of cedar fair loved our haunt product! which is totally good news to us! YEA! but today was a slow day...but work at 9:30am for cheer and drill! awesome!

Day 23

a wonderful day off...i started with going to valley fair with gemma where she drank prior to shopping...she needed t find something for her sister...it was a fun little trip...saw an old buddy who works at hollister...flirted with one of the two employees at spencers...and recruited him to work for haunt :) over all just a great day! nick made a really yummy dinner and i made oreos! hahaha! i tend to like to sleep on my day off but i'm glad i didn't :)

Day 22

so when you work a lot and late...you find yourself a lone in the dark..i realized i hadn't taken any pictures yet so i decide to take a picture of the dark hall with the exit sign...it was pretty creepy up in the park operations office by myself that night...crazy!

Day 21

so i haven't seen my nephew in a month! he is now 2 months old and is 12 pounds...when i last saw him he was only 5...he is so big and soooooo cute! i adore him...he is a brat though...the reason why he is crying is because he doesn't like when you put him down...or sit down...i was like WTF! but he was also sick so he wanted some comfort! i seriously adore him and haven't been able to see him that much! man he is so big now!

Day 20

so...it got cold and cloudy and started raining a little bit today...so patrick comes into the office and said that he has a job that gemma and i can do really quick...and what was it? to wash raul's (our general manager) golf cart...i'm so glad i get paid to do stuff like that :) it amazes me! so gemma and i will now be starting a golf cart detailing service! hahaha! i love gemma!

Day 19

i'm trying to catch up with these blogs...it's a good thing that i don't write a lot...but anyways...i realized that i haven't posted a picture of my cat canada...she is a crazy kitty who loves new toys and exploring...and running around the apartment...she amuses me in every way! but i LOVE this picture that i took of her as she wast playing on her post...which she also sleeps there at night while i am there :)

Day 18

so it's rare for me to actually be out and about on the first weekend of haunt...i'm always doing paperwork somehow...but i went through underworld alley and i LOVE the green light that they have! it just adds a nice atmosphere to it all...makes me happy! the talent in there are also amazing! so this is dedicated to them :)

Day 17

after haunt opened...a group of the talent went to ihop so i joined after i go off...i didn't get to eat anything though...i was so tired that instead...i made this master piece :) wow! opening went great though! i'm super excited for this season!

Day 16

fangs previewed! it was a great show! all the hard work that the wardrobe girls and technicians put it this show was GREAT! congrats to everyone who worked on this show! this means HAUNT OPENS TOMORROW!!! here we go!

Day 15

we officially have haunt opening in 2 days! this was preview night one! a little crazy! bang was performing while i took this picture! those boys are amazing...just missing justin though :) any ways...a lot of stress off the shoulders after the first day night of preview...but still another night to go! AH! but it's all good! let's go HAUNT!

Day 14

i got to hang out with my little pheobe jane today! i haven't seen her since august 1st when she and her family came to great america :) zooey is starting to like me as well...so that's good...she doesn't just star at me any more...but wow i have missed her! it was nice to have the day off...even though it was REALLY hot today...nick and i just stayed in since we have ac in the apartment...the haunting continues tomorrow!

Day 13

so i went to wardrobe distribution after black widow cavern's scare school...gemma was trying to sweep in there and stumbled onto a praying mantis...she tried to shoo it out so i just picked it up...it kept crawling all over me...it tickled but it made my night...if i can play with bugs (that won't bite me) i will! he was a cut little bugger...but i couldn't figure out a name for him sadly...so i finally let him go into the trees...i was a little sad saying good-bye to my friends...

Day 12

so...today at the end of the shift...gemma, catherine and i got stuck in the haunt supervisor office due to a skunk that happpened to pass by...it wouldn't leave an none of us was about to go outside where it could chase us around...but then this black cat came along...and got him to go away...i wish i could have gotten a better picture of it...but there wasn't much light around...but this made our night a little crazy...being that it is the end of the week!

Day 11

so...while doing carn-evil scare school today...patrick was giving notes...and this is what i saw in front of me...i started laughing on the inside...i seriously needed this all day! the heat...the stress...HAUNT! it was great! if you don't know what it is...it's a baboon's butt :) we added forms of monkeys unto the attraction and this is what i will remember from it! i also like the fact that it is shaped liked a heart <3

Day 10

so one of the shows we have for haunt is fangs! which the costumes were all built by our wonderful wardrobe crew! so i decided that in dedication to their 12 hour work days they should be a part of my blog! here are the michelles working hard on the couch! this was towards the last part of their shift so you can tell they were getting a little delusional! they are such hard workers!!!

Day 9

nick bought me the the official ring today!!!

it is NOT a diamond! i requested not to have one...i wanted one that was unique to me :) so it has a opal in the center and pink sapphires on the side...it also has a really cute heart detail :) if you ever see me...just ask to see it :)

Day 8

so we did scare school for werewolf canyon today...there is an excited bunch there! it will interesting to see them with actual people running through! this sign is now located in there...i'm a little sad is it was one of the signs hanging off the proscenium during the endless summer on ice show...so it makes me really sad...oh well...good to know that it's being used for something then...so tired now....must sleep!

Day 7

so tonight began the haunt scare schools! CLUB BLOOD!!! i tired to take a picture of the sign out in front of the maze...but it wasn't bright enough :( this however is a picture of our wardrobe distribution area where all the costumes are as well as where people get their make-up done! this picture doesn't do it justice...it looks much bigger than this! LOTS of costumes everywhere! it was fun and exciting today...however i wanted to shoot myself when i was trying to certify a blackout and he wasn't getting ANYTHING!!! and this is even after someone else tried to help me dumb down the questions for him...we'll see how he does NEXT week! i hate stupid people! random...while in the middle of certifying one of the blackouts...i got a very sad phone call from a friend all the way on the other side of the country...what made it worse is that i wish i could have given him a big hug through the phone...but i couldn't... :( he's a great guy and an amazing person and his situation sucks...the worst part is that is haunt related...just not with our park! it's lat so i should go to bed now! good night!

Day 6

today was a nice day...full of shopping...while i was wondering in target i found this sign...which happens to be one of my favorite sayings...i even have a necklace with it...nick asked if i wanted to buy it and i said it was okay...but i really do like this saying :) and the tips of my shoes made it into the picture!

Day 5

so today...i had to finish up the last of the certifying in the mazes at great america...i walked through cornstalkers with some of the theater attendants and christine one of the maze supervisors...as we were heading back and not wanting go through the burlap...we saw this lonely guy hanging on the fence under the grizzle...he was actually by himself and shouldn't have been there...what a nice looking fella! it's haunt mode for me so the mass of the pictures i'll be posting will probably be all haunt related! i don't know if that is a good or bad thing...

Day 4

i had a late concert today for muslim unity at great america...it's also the last concert of the year!!! now it's all haunt...this picture is of the last performer who had A LOT of people leave while he was rapping away...it was a pretty chill concert...nothing else really happened today though...it was just boring...AH!

Day 3

so today after work i went and drove to the city to hang out with my buddy branden....i met him at the red vic theater and larry was there too! i hung out with greg and talked with him most of the time...i finally met the famous tommy wiseau who is the director, writer and main character of the cult classic "the room" you will have to watch the movie to get some of the jokes like this picture of tommy and greg throwing the football back and forth to each other :) greg is a great guy...tommy is a little on the crazy side...but he is fun to be around! i really had a great night! it was definitely full of laughs :) and now it's almost 4:00am so i should be getting to bed!

Day 2

so bart insisted that we hang out for my birthday but i was too tired so i hung out with him and my lovely theresa after work today...we ended up in our typical place...FLAMES! which their cakes are amazingly good and i sadly could not finish my wonderful birthday treat :( so this is the final result of it :) couldn't even get through half of it! so it's not in my fridge! i've missed bart and theresa so much! this post is almost 2 and a half hours late because i was hanging out with them the rest of the night :)

Day 1

i'm starting something new...seth was the one that started it and i thought i would be appropriate to start on my birthday and see where i go before my next birthday! so i just figured i would post a picture of me...at 26 years old :) hopefully all the other ones will be more exciting than this...but it's a way to start it off!
